PALS is best known for its one-on-one mentoring program which matches law students of color with volunteer attorneys who serve as mentors.
PALS has successfully matched attorney mentors with minority law student mentees since its inception in 1984. PALS mentors provide support and advice on how to handle the unique challenges confronting minority law students throughout their law school tenure. As these relationships are intended to last throughout the students’ law school tenure (and in many cases, on a less formal basis, after law school), every effort is made to match students with suitable mentors. Students and attorneys are matched largely on the basis of common interests.
